Another reason France won't send troops to Iraq.

France was illegally supplying Saddam with weapons as late as 2002. They've been busted with bribes to senior government officials when a newspaper in Iraq named names in a full-page ad right after the war concluded. UN leaders, Russian leaders and businessmen were also on the list.

French surface-to-air missiles have been used to down US aircraft and surface-to-surface missile are fired into US and Iraqi positions.
