Classic Games

>> Saturday, November 10, 2007

Brenna is very into games right now. She got a Backyardigans board game for her birthday that she likes to play at least once a day. And Candyland is great fun; she loves to get the character cards- even if they take her back to the beginning. Chutes and Ladders is still a bit too cluttered for her to play easily, but she likes to try about once a month.

And while a couple of the games I mentioned are “classics” there are few games that truly stand the test of time. I’m talking centuries. Checkers, chess and backgammon all began as games of strategy and war. And all are still played by millions around the world.

Of course the boards have become virtual as people play online with opponents from around the world….

Recently BackgammonMasters.com All in One Game Lobby became available in 12 languages: Chinese, Portuguese, German, Arabic, French, Hebrew, Japanese, English, Greek, Turkish, Spanish or Danish. This makes the software globally user friendly and allows thousands of players to play simultaneously on a single multi-language platform.

Most of the content on BackgammonMasters is available in the same language as the download allowing players to learn to play, get tips and stay up to date with promotions and events.

If you don't speak one of the languages listed- don't despair! More are on the way. As are additional games such as Poker, Perudo and BlackJack.
