Fab Food Friday

>> Thursday, May 10, 2007

Well, it's Friday again and time for another recipe tested right here in the Geek household.

Brenna had so much fun starring in the post last week that she is back for another go. This week we made Jell-O Magic Mousse.

Here is Brenna posing with everything you need:
3 cups boiling water
1 pkg. (8-serving size) or 2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Brand Strawberry Flavor Gelatin (we used raspberry)
1 tub (16 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed (or two 8 oz tubs, which is what we used because I wrote "1 tub Cool Whip" on my shopping list- and got the wrong size)

After you have all your stuff you stir the Jell-O into the water for 2 minutes until completely dissolved.
Then add the whipped topping stirring with a whisk until topping is completely melted and mixture is well blended.
Then pour into 10 cups, a 6 cup mold or a glass bowl sprayed with cooking spray.
Refrigerate 8 hours or over night. The mixture will separate and form layers. Magic!
Ours have only been sitting for 4 hours in this photo but you can see the layers forming. (Check out the Kraft website - linked at the top - for very pretty pictures.
