Endless Possiblities

I gotta tell ya… I’m pretty sick of hearing about how we have two Americas and how those who are born with nothing will die with nothing.

Hmmm. Well, if that’s true than the richest woman in media (or has she surpassed all the men now?) shouldn’t have grown up wearing dresses her grandmother made from potato sacks. And a regular kid from Arkansas shouldn’t have been able to be a Rhodes Scholar and become President of the United States. And the son of a share cropper shouldn’t have become the “King of Rock and Roll”.

Of course, because this is the United States, everyone has dreams of becoming one of the Nouveau Riche. Winning the lottery or becoming a sports or television star seem to be the most popular ideals for gaining fame and fortune. But this is America. Anything is possible. That’s why some people will break the law to come here and why other want to destroy us. It’s all about the possibilities.
