There is a big difference between washable markers and dry erase markers. Namely the word erase. If you aren't sure which markers are which please don't give the two-year-old any of them.

Actually, the only markers the two-year-old should be using are the Color Wonder markers. Because then I won't find a workbook covered in un-erasable marker markings and open markers littering the floor, dried out and ruined.

OK, technically she can still leave the Color Wonder markers open. Which is why we pick up together when the girls finish any "art" projects. Maybe the best idea is to just have the kids stick to paper and crayons when I'm not available to watch them. It will save me a lot of frustration the day after the fact.

(As I write this my fingers are stained red with washable marker that was used in a dry erase book. Washable markers don't dry in those books- they stay wet and stain. Just FYI.)
