A "Fair" Forecast?

The Iowa State Fair kicks off tomorrow evening with the parade through downtown Des Moines. The state fair is one of those things that you love or hate. I don't know anyone who is indifferent to it.

I love the fair. I love the animals, the food, the people watching. For last year's fair photos click here If you slow down and just relax you can meet people from all over the world at the Iowa State Fair. They have a map in one of the buildings that you stick pushpins in to show where you are from. By the end of the fair every country is usually represented.

So, today, I was checking out the weather forecast for the next week and a half. Every day shows possibility of rain or storms with highs in the 90's. Ugh. But we will soldier through it to experience food on sticks, large pigs and the giant slide.
