Biden his time

Why is Senator Biden running for reelection...for the Senate.

Could it be that he wants something to do in January? I mean there wouldn't be any other reason to run for both offices unless he thought that the lower office was the only one he would be sitting in after January 20th. Here's hoping the voters in Delaware wake up and leave him without a job.

Wouldn't that be a kick in the pants! I hope so too!

This has always been one of the things that really bugged me about politics, the fact that these people can take a year or more off of their jobs to try to get a different job, get paid while they are trying for the new job, and then have their old job waiting for them should their campaign not be successful.

I would love to see a law passed that said if you are an elected official and you are going to seek a higher office, you have to vacate your current one. At the very least once you have wrapped up your parties nomination you should be forced to step down. Just like Bob Dole did when he ran against Clinton.

Now I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a law like this to get passed, but I'll surely vote for the first man or woman to propose such a law.

Exactly Bob! Name any other paid position where you can, with full knowledge and acceptance, do the same...
