An Update: Within 48 hours of last week's show (my summary here)two accused child molesters had been turned in to the FBI. One was in Belize. Oprah has a long reach. She has photos on her site of child molesters at large; those who have posted bond but not shown up for trial and are not on any registry. Do you recognize any of these men?
Des Moines has expanded the areas where sex offenders can't live. While I applaud the thoughts behind this I just don't see it working the way the council envisions. These scum can still visit the restricted areas. Nothing can stop them from using the parks, trails or pools. Tougher jail sentences; punish these people. This is a nuisance, nothing more.
