Well, I just grabbed our mail and it seems that, somehow, we have gotten onto American Excess's mailing list again. As well as the lists of quite a few other marketers.

If you're in the same situation and don't want those little "devils" coming into your home and tempting you with their offers of free plane tickets, cash back or chocolates with your order of $20 or more let me lead you a couple of places:

Here's where you go to OPT OUT of Prescreened Credit Offers. Through the website you can opt out for 5 years. If you print the form and mail it you will opt out forever.

Here's where you go to get on the National DO NOT CALL Registry. Telemarketers can not call you at home if you are on this list. Be aware, however, that if you sign up for drawings or enter any contests you have given people permission to call you.

And don't forget, you should get your CREDIT REPORT once a year and check it for inaccuracies. If something is wrong the creid bureaus have 30 days to take action to change it.
