Reprise

In December 2004, I published a post about several members of the Marines and an Army sergeant that I thought fit the criteria to be awarded our nation's highest honor, the Medal of Honor. Several people blogging from Marine Corps bases have been stopping by that post recently. I want to say thanks to them for their courage and commitment.

Let me also say that the Marines, soldiers, airmen and sailors in service today can hold their head high. They prove their worth every day in unthinkable conditions for a public that hardly notices all of their good deeds. One of the many reasons Jody and I started this blog was to help point that out to people. Our servicemembers today are the best of any army in the world and arguably the best troops seen in the short history of our nation.
