Girlie Snow Boots

>> Monday, January 10, 2005

For the first time, my 2 year old has shown interest in playing in the snow. We had somewhere between 8-10" of snow last week, and some 1 1/2 foot drifts in the yard. Problem: no snow boots for him. The local Wal-Mart, where I happened to be shopping, had only little girl snow boots in his size. No kidding.

I called my husband to make sure it would be OK to buy girl boots instead of boy snow boots. They are all white with a furry cuff and quilted shank (style name: Bunny). There is a tiny blue stripe at the very bottom of the foot on each side. With his snow pants on, all you can see is the foot. At least that part doesn't scream "I'm a girls' boot"!

We went outside, built a snowman & threw snowballs for about an hour. He didn't seem to notice that he was wearing boots made for another gender. I'm a BAD mom.
